Will someone explain in layman terms what the Terms "Extrude Hone Port Match" and "7 Angle Valve" Mean?
Will someone explain in layman terms what the Terms "Extrude Hone Port Match" and "7 Angle Valve" Mean and How they will have a positive impact on producing extra power for my engine? Any additional information such as other supporting or related mods supported or needed to support this would be helpful as well.
Extrude hone is where an abrasive medium, usually a putty like substance is forced through the intake and heads to smooth out the inner surfaces of the intake, exhaust and head ports to allow air/fuel/exhaust to flow freely without obstruction. A seven angle valve job is where the machinist grinds the valve and seat at seven different angles. Overkill for the street. Your biggest advantage would be the honing process over the valve job. Port matching is normally done before the honing. This is where the intake and head ports are matched and machined to exact fit each other.
If you have allot of money these methods are good but horses can be made allot cheaper with cam/intake/exhaust and computer mods. Fuel injection is the way to go with a turbo application. Turbo chargers and nitrous oxide are the best way to boost power with out robbing the engine of power to make power.
