Could a bad break in crack your engine block?
I have a Honda Wave 100cc bike which was just recently modified to fit a 125cc engine block with a bore size of 52.4mm. My Question is, Can excessive acceleration crack your engine or is this just a myth?
excessive acceleration won't crack the engine block.
It will damage bearings first.
Overrevving will damage piston rings, maybe cause valvetrain damage.
Only thing that I can think of that will crack a block would be overheating. If the block is bored out, the cylinder walls would be thinner, more prone to problems from heat.
Of course if a connecting rod breaks or something else breaks it could bounce around and crack a block.
