well... as i am a f2p ... i cant give you much p2p advice... but here goes...
If you are rich enough, (and are willing to risk + have the right skills) take a godsword/whip as a finisher. Always have your special charged 100%. It could help in a life-or-death situation.
Group PKing:
these are the usual minimum classes in a group : 2 Mages, 2 Rangers, 3 Melee, or 3 mage, 1 range and 3 melee.
Use a drag longsword/scimitar as you will be grouping/ piling. Try to go on a lootshare world so you can share your drops. Barrows armour/Dragon armour/God armour would be a great advantage. Use these if you can, but only if you a willing to risk it. There are many strategies for high-lvl wildy pking. Here are some:
Death Dot (often abbreviated DD)
Explanation: When all of the members of the group stand on 1 square, which is the same. The key is that if the vulnerable adventurer does not have a high agility level/energy potion, they will die quick. It also surprises well.
Box Formation.
Explanation: When the members of the group stand in a box, to organise themselves and to make it easier to pk. This helps a massive load as you can trap your enemy in the center, and they are gone as quick as a dead rat in a cats stomach.
Health Spamming.
Explanation: This is when the members of the clan use red typing to black out the health bar. Most people will be too slow to eat quick enough to live. Her is an example of what you could type.
[Red:llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll]
This should black the message out well. You can experiment with numbers/letters to see which one works best.
Luring.
Explanation: This is when the clan helps another person, LURES them into teh clan, takes them into high-wildy and KOs them. This has helped me a number of times and is 99% successful. P.S. Occasionally, there is one odd person who will disagree... just KO them then XD. That'll show them who's boss. And make sure they're not going to do what you're going to do to them. Be nice, and they'll come to your clan. This works best in high-wildy as low-wildy is much easier to escape from.
Inventory.
This is what your inventory should look like:
1 Varrock/Falador/Lumbridge teleport tab
2 super strength potions
2 energy potions
23 lobster+ food.
Lumbridge tele tab is reccomended as it takes you to a safe spot, unless you verified your Varrock tele-tab to take you to the GE. Please note that this only applies for PVP worlds, not Bounty worlds, in which case any teleport tab is fine.
Equipped items - Melee
Dragon Longsword/Armadyl GodSword/ddp++/Dragon Scimitar
Shield depends on you - Barrows or Drag is reccomended
Barrows armour/ God Armour
Boots of lightness
Spotty Cape
Power ammy/Str ammy/Glory ammy
Ring depends on you
Any gloves - rune gloves 100 if you can't get any other
Equipped - Range
Crystal Bow/Dragon Bow
Rune Arrows
Black D'hide top, bottom, vambraces and coif 100 - Red/Blue/Green works fine too trimmed/gilded if you want to show off your wealth
same gloves, ring, cape, boots.
Equipped - Mage
The mage Barrow girl's armour, dunno her name lol
Spotty cape
Mage ammy enchanted
Air Battlestaff enchanted[if there is such thing lol]
same gloves, boots, ring,
P.S. you can use the same armour for Solo Pking too.
Solo PKing.
Here it is much more deadly, as you might get scammed/lured into a clan that pwns you. You get to go where you want, but that makes it more dangerous as you might not have a tanker who can tell you where the groups/higher level pkers are [most of the time you don't have a tanker in a group anyways].
Strategies
Tree Hugging.
Explanation. This is for when you are getting attacked. Suppose you are player A and i am player B. Player B attacks A. A runs into trees, so now A is north of the tree, while B is south. Now, A runs west while B runs to the east(vice versa if you need to), iving A a chance to run away. Of course, this works best against Melee'ers.
2 Player Strategy
Explanation: This is useful, but I think it only works in PVP worlds now, not Bounty Worlds. This is when another player (normally a friend) comes into action. You both do a Death Dot. Then your friend attacks the player you want to kill, then logs out. This makes the person suspicious that you hit them, which makes him/her attack you. This gets the player skulled, and then you kill it. Plenty of good drops (remember to risk 76k for mems, 26k for f2p.) This works best on levels lower than you.
Equipment and Inventory
These are the same. Bear in mind that you can use your items if you want, but i would suggest that you use the ones that i have listed =).
Well... that's it for this guide... i'll just give some tips to finish off...
PKing places
Edgeville Green Drags - 11 - 14 wildy.
A nice spot for pking. Not too many high levels around here.
Abyss - Level 3-6 wildy
Alright for pking. Usually level 70+ hang about here.
Mage Arena/Agility Training Arena - Level 51+ wildy.
Very dangerous. Level 110+ hang about here in MASSIVE clans.
Please note that these spots are favoured by MEMBERS - not free players.
Free play PKing areas
Low level Varrock wildy - Level 1-5 wildy
Usually only new players here.
Hill Giants - 16-19 wildy
Dangerous. High level free players/ alright level members PK here. It is also MULTI COMBAT.
Moss Giants - Level 38 wildy
Very populated by "noobs" training. It is SINGLE COMBAT so you dont need to worry about anyone taking your kills =)
Rune Rocks - Level 46 wildy
This is a prime spot for high level clans which lurk around here. It is very dangerous, and is also quite a famous place. Many people get the EP(Enemy Potential) up here.
Demonic Ruins - 46-47 wildy
The MOST LETHAL place in free play PKing. Lots of level 120+ here, and many in clans. Very dangerous, even for members.
Dark Knight Fortress/Bandit Camp - 15/24 wildy
A very popular place. Every PKer comes here at least once in their Runescape "life". Many people lurk about here.
(NOTE: That all of the PKing places work best in Bounty Worlds, not PVP worlds. On PVP worlds you can go there, but there are'nt as many people to kill.
Well... that's it for this guide; I hope this has helped somewhat, and good luck with your Owning! =)
