Arzberg reaches back to the year 1887. Arzberg develops china under the guidelines of functionality, quality, and a distinctive language of form. One example for this is the "Form 1382", designed by Dr. Hermann Gretsch in 1931. Heinrich Loffelhardt, Gretsch's successor as art director, also had a crucial impact in defining Arzberg as a brand name: He succeeded in timeless good design with the "Form 2000", which since 1954 has occupied a prominent position in the Arzberg product line.
Numerous awards testify to Arzberg's competence in design already in the years 1936/37, the "Form 1382" had won the Gold Medal. Triennale in Milan and at the World Exhibition in Paris. The Cucina collection won the red dot for high design quality in 2001. Arzberg-Porzellan has been awarded a total of more than 30 design awards.
