How universal are wheel covers? Will an old 14 inch mopar wheel cover fit a 14 inch Toyota steel wheel?
'Wheel covers' are different from 'hubcaps.' Wheel covers go from one edge of the rim to the other and are sometimes (particularly on modern cars) held in place (at least partially) by the lug nuts. A 'hubcap' just covers the center portion of the of the wheel - aka, the 'hub'.
I guess the question that anyone who's ever tested it should be able to answer is: have you ever used a wheel cover from one manufacturer on another manufacturer's wheel?

well they are generally universal but some have special pins designed for the rim they used to belong to.
