How many drill extensions can I attach to reach attic from first floor?
Is there a maximum length for drill extensions?
I want to drop down a cable from the attic to the first floor.
Basement / First Floor / Second Floor / Attic
I'm going to try these procedures to drill through first floor and attic walls to reach attic:
How many 6 feet extensions or 4.5 feet extensions possible?

The video shows Ideal conditions ( naturally) .
You are really flying blind
There is also good potential for going through something you don't want to.
Even a nail in the wrong place can make trouble ( notice screw center boring bit)..
Have "gotten away" with it by working from the top down in closets & making small wall openings.
Drilled throught top wall plate in attic ( interior wall ) using a spade bit much larger than the boring bit in video.
Dropped a weighted line & located firestops by sound.
Opened up , drilled through pulled the weighted line through, dropped again & drilled etc.
Used the "drag line " to pull cable back while walls were open.
Can even go horizontally through studs & drop in a better location.
It requires patching and painting but is a sure thing.
Think it would be a minor miracle to get it done the way the video shows without opening something up over the distance you need to go.
Nice concept though &" might " give it a try ( if I had to maybe ) and it is possible to extend the 25 feet or so you need to travel ( question for manufacturer) & extend the fiberglass rods as well to find the holes.
Take that back... would go w/ the sure thing.
