what are the parts needed for a torch to do titanium tig welding?
for example, the gas lens or the gas lens nozzle
If you are welding Ti in atmosphere you will need the largest gas lens and shield cup as possible. (I use a 3" diameter one, special made) It is best to weld Ti in an argon chamber. All sides of the Ti welding area must be protected from atmosphere other wise you are going to trash your weld. Any discoloration of the weld area is not acceptable short of a slight straw color (no discoloration preferred). So to answer your question you need a Torch assembly, Gas lens, shield cup, Collet, and Torch tail piece, the collet and gas lens should be sized accordingly to your tungsten size.
