Timeserts in spark plug holes?
I have a 93 Pontiac Sunbird with a 2.0L engine. The cylinder head is aluminum, and wiring plug into disrepair. What how difficult it is to install Timeserts? Any advice on this?
Use your whip to a fantastic --- just kidding. I love movies. Very Easy to install, if the head is out of the car and obviously more difficult with the front and sometimes is not possible without the elimination of elements in the form or the hoist motor. The main thing is to cover the tap with grease to collect the metal shavings to touch the spark plug hole and make sure it is happening on the line --- use a guide to the faucet, if possible ... running water inside and outside a few times to ensure that discussions are good, the thread insert and make absolutely sure do not let the chips or pieces of metal falling into the plug hole otherwise have to pull the head ... just take your time and play a little at a time, remove the key, clean and grease. Follow the instructions to put sealant on the threads to taper seat plugs. We used a lot in our store dealer for repair plug hole and that worked very well.
