I have a Sears Craftsman mower 5 years old.last times I would cut my lawn?
a few passes and sputters and dies starts runs strong out.it as 10 minutes or so and then dies again.any answers out there? thanks in advance! changed the air filter .... is difficult to change the fuel filter?
Check the cheap stuff first. You may have a clogged vent in fuel cap. As the engine runs fuel flows tank to the carburetor. If the tank is not well ventilated it is likely that after a partial vacuum in the tank to stop the flow of fuel. The easiest way to check this is to unscrew the cap when the engine is turned off and see if you can get it running. If that fails, possible candidates are a restricted fuel line and a coil Defective ignition as mentioned by previous posters.
