High-Torque slots on the screws of aircraft.?
Hello everyone. I am new to this forum so I hope someone can help. I currently work for an enterprise of that Hi-Torque slots in the screw head of the aircraft. Currently used a head of division, in a CNC mill to hold the screw blade while immersed in the screw head to the required depth. When this depth is obtained by dividing the head turned to the right 7 ° to 7 °-from needles clock, the sides of the cutter is articulated to the sides of the slot to avoid being below the output cam driver. This set-up is well over-break the work we are doing, anyone can propose a simpler method? Any suggestions at all would be gratefully received. Andrew.
If there some kind of drawing you could probably get a better idea of what the part looks like. Now, however, it seems that turning the head CW 7 º and 7 º to the left the tool is traveling more than one section has already been mechanized. Most likely I'm just misunderstanding the process, but if that is what happens next, it seems a waste of time machine. Instead of the CAC movement, increase the rpm tool speed and reduce travel speed during the movement of chemical weapons. This will give a better finish to the first pass.
