What is it called ?.... (Mechanical design of electronic equipment)?
I have a problem, please read this and leave your suggestions. Any help would be appreciated I will use two surface mount (SMD) light emitting diodes (LED) in a PCB. The PCB is about 12 mm from the wall of the enclosure. Need an optical path leading to the light of the DME to the panel box. I've seen some designers manage to do this using an acrylic cone / cylinder between the PCB and the Panel. I do not know what it is called .... I need a bit of literature about the design of this type of optical path
