Do all plasma cutters require a separate air compressor?
Do all plasma cutters require a separate air compressor or is there a such thing as one's with built in air compressors? Is there anything else that I have to have that doesn't typically come with the plasma cutter? (power supply?)
Hobart Airforce 250ci has a built in compressor. It is for very light work and mine wasn't very reliable.
Most portable plasma cutters will come with everything you need to get started other than the compressor. You will need spare consumables later on. The consumables are a contact tip, nozzle and shield. These consumables will burn out occasionally.
