I have a leaky faucet. The cartridge or ring keeps tearing.?
The cartridge or ring keeps tear because the water supply pipe, the butts against has a nick in it. What I really need to know is if the tube can be replaced. It has a hex on the inside that makes it look like is removable with an allen wrench. Any ideas? The alternative is to replace the whole unit and I'm not the removal of partition walls. I found what I wanted. It was the "seat" which was carried out, I removed with an Allen wrench and replaced in seconds. I have no point answering my own question, however. Damn.
If it was I wanted to replace the faucet. have become expert in planned obsolescence.
