What to do with the cut thin pork loin?
I have six pieces of thinly sliced pork loin, and I have no idea what to do with them. My father, usually grills pork, therefore, used at least once (sometimes twice) a week, and I am absolutely sick of the taste. So that, does anyone know of a recipe or a list of recipes you can use to do something ... out ... of these thin sections?
PORK PASTA SALAD 12 oz cooking and lean pork loin, cut into thin strips 1 / 4 tsp. salt 4 oz spiral pasta, cooked, rinsed and drained 3 c. flowerettes broccoli 1 1 / 3 c. diced mushrooms 1 / 2 cup diced red pepper Sprinkle salt over the meat. Combine pork, pasta, broccoli, mushrooms and pepper in a serving bowl. Serve yogurt cheese salad dressing. YOGURT CHEESE Dressing: 1 (8 oz) carton plain yogurt 2 oz feta cheese, crumbled 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tsp. chopped parsley 1 / 4 tsp. oregano leaves Combine all dressing ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Yield: 1 cup. Makes 4 servings. SWEET POTATO AND PORK IN GINGER SAUCE an LG. sweet potatoes, peeled, cut lengthwise thinly sliced 1 med. green pepper, cut into 1 inch pieces 1 / 4 pound fresh snow peas, trimmed 4 green onions, cut diagonally into 1-inch lengths 2 tablespoons. brown sugar 1 tbsp. 3 tablespoons cornstarch. soy sauce 2 tbsp. sherry 1 / 2 tsp. ground ginger 1 / 2 cup water 3 / 4 pound pork tenderloin or boneless pork chops, Ground pepper, thinly sliced 2-3 tablespoons black. peanut oil, divided To prepare sweet potatoes, peppers, peas and green onions and set aside. In a bowl, combine sugar brown, cornstarch, soy sauce, sherry, ginger and water, stir to combine and set aside. Season pork with black pepper. In a wok or nonstick skillet, Heat 2 tablespoons peanut oil. Add beef and cook over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes or until meat is done. Remove pork with a slotted spoon and set aside. Add sweet potatoes and pepper in skillet, saute 2 minutes, add 1 tablespoon more oil if necessary. Return pork to pan, add snow peas and pour into reserved ginger sauce. Cook and stir until thickened. Add green onions and stir just to combine TERIYAKI PORK CHOPS 1 / 8 tsp. garlic salt 1 / 8 tsp. 4 chips ground ginger pork loin, 1 / 2 "thick 1 cm. red pepper, cut into thin strips (3 / 4 cup) 3 / 4 cup coarse grated carrot 1 / 2 cup sliced green onions bias 1 / 4 cup orange juice 3 tablespoons. 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce. orange liqueur, optional 1 tsp. cornstarch 1 / 4 tsp. bottled pepper hot cooked rice Hot sauce Combine salt, garlic, ginger and 1 / 8 teaspoon pepper. fat Trim pork chops, sprinkle both sides of each cut mixture ginger. Preheat a 10-inch skillet over high heat until hot. Add the chops, reduce heat to medium. Cook the chops for 8-10 minutes or until they lose the pink color, turning once. Remove from pan, keep warm. Add red pepper, carrots and green onions to skillet. Cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until tender, stirring frequently. Mix orange juice, teriyaki sauce, liqueur, cornstarch and pepper sauce, add to vegetables. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, cook and stir for 2 minutes. Serve pork chops with rice. Spoon vegetable mixture on top. Makes 4 servings.
