TIG welding, standard stick or inverter welder?
Can you use a small TIG welding kit on a standard MMA or stick welder or does the welding power source be an inverter welder????
TIG should be run on straight polarity, so instead of positive whip and negative ground, you reverse them. TIG can be run on a CC/CV machine as long as you make sure polarity is DCEN
(Direct current electrode negative). It is basically the opposite set up to stick, you will just need the tig gun and argon shielding gas.
I am not sure what welding machine you have, but the miller xmt-304 that I use can run all processes, so depending on how old your machine is it is hard to say.
