Welding/Brazing Catalyic Converter?
Is it possible to braze or weld a Catalytic Converter to the pipes using Oxy-MAPP/Oxy-Acetylene? Is there any problem that could result in the gases getting into the catalyst while working? Like, is there any sort of chemical reaction or anything that would ruin my new "cat"?
I already know what's involved with the process, legality, etc. Straight-pipe is NOT an option. Thanks in advance...
i don't see a problem doing it. just be car full. a friend of mine was using a torch to cut a cat out and the sparks drifted back to the gas tank. it blew up and killed him.
